The Penn State Alumni Association

What’s been happening:

After working for the Collegian, I continued to write, freelancing for newspapers and magazines including Kiplinger's Personal Finance, Out, Advocate, Orange Coast, Pittsburgh, Westways, and many others. I have written two published nonfiction books ("Going for the Green" and "Day Is Ending." My first novel, "Rounding Third," will be out later this year. A play which I co-wrote, "GAM3RS," was performed in New York to rave reviews and since has played to enthusiastic crowds around the country, including at MIT. I've had several screenplays optioned, but none made into movies yet--maybe this will be the year. I moved to California just after Penn State, first LA where I lived at Venice Beach for years and then I moved to San Diego where I have been since 1992. I find I'd rather commute to LA a few times a month than live there. I have yet to find Mr. Right and settle down so I am still single. I still talk regularly to some of my Penn State friends, especially those from the Collegian some of whom now hire me to write for the magazines they edit. It has been fun lately to reconnect with even more Penn State friends on Facebook. I manage to make it back to Happy Valley every year or three and catch a football game and get some ice cream.
